Position: MOFGA Public Policy Organizer
Primary Responsibilities: This position works with MOFGA’s policy staff and committee to develop, strengthen and mobilize the organization’s diverse network of stakeholders across Maine’s legislative districts; and a significant focus will be helping to coordinate efforts in Maine and across the country to address the escalating problem of farmland contamination from forever chemicals – per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).

Hours and Salary: This is full-time position, with work occasionally required on nights and weekends. The salary range for this position is $45,000-$55,000 annually, dependent upon experience.

Position: Climate Smart and Organic Transition Specialist
Primary Responsibilities: This position is responsible for building relationships with producers while conducting outreach to promote climate smart and organic transition opportunities.
Hours and Salary: This is full-time position, with work occasionally required on nights and weekends. The salary range for this position is $52,000 – $58,000 annually, dependent upon experience.

Position: Low-Impact Forestry Specialist
Primary Responsibilities:The MOFGA Low-Impact Forestry Specialist supports the Low-Impact Forestry (LIF)
Program activities and its network. This position is partially funded by a 3 year grant from NRCS, and will work closely
with NRCS programs.
Hours and Salary: This is full-time a year-round position, averaging 40 hours of work per week. The person in this position can work remotely but will need to be on site (both at the MOFGA campus in Unity and at other event locations) for events, work related to MOFGA’s forests, and other similar projects. The salary range for this position is $43,000-$48,000 annually, dependent upon experience.

on gardening, homesteading, orcharding, food preservation, food access and more. Support MOFGA’s food access
work through the organizing of our Maine Harvest Bucks program.
Hours and Salary: This is full time a year round position, averaging 40 hours of work per week. The person in this position can work remotely but will need to be on site (both at the MOFGA campus in Unity and at other event locations) for events, meetings, set up and break down of events, and other similar projects. The salary range for this position is $43,000-$48,000 annually, dependent upon experience.
