The Maine Organic Marketplace

The Maine Organic Marketplace, opened in July 2021 at the historic Bartol Library at 55 Main Street in downtown Freeport, is MOFGA’s Southern Maine educational outreach location. Sales from the marketplace directly support our mission of building a food system that is healthy and fair for all of us, while also supporting Maine artisans.

We carry Common Ground Country Fair merchandise and educational books about gardening and homesteading. We also offer beautiful, sustainable, Maine-made gifts and home goods including wooden bowls and utensils, tea towels, soaps, body care products, and notecards. The marketplace also features finely crafted MOFGA certified organic shelf-stable food products including maple syrup, blueberry spread, granola, and apple cider vinegar. Most of the vendors who provide products for the store vend at the Common Ground Country Fair in Unity.

We are located at 55 Main St. in Freeport, where you can find locally made and sustainably-minded gifts that support MOFGA’s mission. We also have a selection of MOFGA merchandise available in our online store
